When she knows what she's into, she's instantly comfortable and pretty outgoing - often resulting in random acts that may have the average person raising an eyebrow. Rika loves drama, but often won't take the starring role - she sometimes allows things to slip by without taking action. She's also not one to trust easily, but once she gives it to someone, it's with all her heart and soul. Loyal to a T, if someone crosses her, Rika's not one to back down. She's known to hold a grudge, and will not hide that fact. However, Rika knows when to listen, and does not hesitate to help a friend in need.

Family History / Background: The Katani's are "new money". Rika's father owns a rapidly successful online computer distributor company called "Ripple". While her family is originally from Japan, her father had moved to America as a young man to persue a career with computers in California. There, he met Rika's mother (who is Japanese-American), and Rika's father established his company. Rika was born in the U.S. and learned both Japanese and English at home. Her family moved back to Japan so that her father could further grow the company. Ripple is now the third largest online computer distributor in the country, and that wealth has allowed Rika to attend private school.
Other Information: Rika is a good student, but is known to be quite the procrastinator. She's much more interested in what's going on around her, in her novels, or in one of the plays she's working on. Her favorite food is pears.
